This post is dedicated to all the Single girls who are yearning to be in a loving relationship on this Valentines Day.

Hey beautiful girl!

Before you read this post, I hope you have had a chance to read my post from yesterday on how to spend Valentines Day if you are single. I talked about one of the things I feel you should do is to set aside some quiet time on Valentines morning and journal about everything in your life that you are grateful for and then write a letter to your (future) Dear Lover. And so I did exactly that, this morning.

This action was inspired from reading David Deida’s Dear Lover. In his book, he writes letters to his dear lover (to the reader)! It is one of my favourite books written on the subject of love and the book is very well received in spiritual circles. The tone of this letter is meant to be in past tense, as if you have already met him/her now. If you’re single, this is a lot of fun to do as it gets your brain to visualise how it feels to have already met him/her.

So here it goes – my letter to my (future) man! 🙂

Dear Lover,

You are just so amazing! The day we met was the best day of my life – It felt like I was meeting an old friend. It felt like I have known you before – in another time, a different place – some other existence. And over time, we became best friends, lovers and soulmates.

I love the way you look at me, like you think I am magic. I love the way you tell me everyday that you feel like the luckiest man in this Universe because of my love and presence in your life. When you held my hand for the first time, my heart skipped a beat and I knew your hand was the only hand I wanted to hold for the rest of my life. When you touched me for the first time, a bolt of electrifying, loving energy flowed through my body and sent chills down my spine. Even after years together, I still get butterflies every time I see you. When I feel down or moody, I love the way you hold me in your arms, wrapped around me so tight that all my worries disappear in that moment. Your kisses and hugs are my favorite part of our relationship. I love your beautiful deep eyes, there is so much kindness in them, like an ocean of love. You are an old soul just like me and it feels amazing to have re-united with you.

My dear, I love how you look after me, our family and friends and make us a priority in your life so thank you. You are a kind, loving man, full of purpose and integrity and I love how you put your family, friends and relationships above everything else.

My sweetheart! I feel so grateful to have you in my life, that I get to wake up next to my best friend and soul mate every single morning. We have a deep connection like no other and I cherish the times we spend together – be it cooking up a storm in the kitchen, laughing with each other on our silly inside jokes, parties with our close friends or traveling and exploring new places together.

I hope our love only grows deeper and deeper, with every passing day. You truly make me feel like the luckiest girl in all of the universes. I love you.
