We have all heard “Health is Wealth”
But how many of us are really healthy anyway?
While holidaying in India back in Dec 2014/Jan 2015, a lot of my health issues came to its head. It’s difficult to admit them on the blog, specially when I try to remain positive about everything on this space and knowing for a fact that anyone can read this. But I want to remain as authentic as I can on here, without fears of who reads it!
The Realisation:
So I was traveling a lot with my family during this said visit back home. Lots of air and train travel through southern India, living in hotels, some not so fancy, most not fancy at all actually, compared to the lifestyle that I was used to in my current home in Melbourne. Gosh looking back, I remember needing a nap every day because all this travel was sucking the energy out of me. I was like a 70 year old trapped in a 26 year old body.
After all the traveling that I did in that month, I felt really tired, burnt out and once I was back home in Melbourne, I found it hard to bounce back. Surely this shouldn’t be how I feel after a holiday, and especially when I am only 26, I told myself.
But then when I got really honest about it, I was no different in Melbourne either before all this travel. In fact, I had been quite unhealthy all through the early 20s. And that was a difficult realisation! I just couldn’t figure out what was it that I was doing so wrong? I was eating clean enough, I was walking every single day for exercise. Why was my body so weak? I HAD NO IDEA! I tried every diet/exercise program, joined gyms etc, nothing seemed to work all through my early 20s. I even lost a lot of weight by becoming a ‘gym junkie’ while attending university, only to gain it all back once I started working in a full time job. I was constantly yo-yo’ing and I hated that I couldn’t figure out what it was, that I was doing so wrong.
I remember that I hated getting out of bed every morning, I had zero energy for the day ahead. I remember having really bad headaches at work, having energy crashes at 3pm everyday, sometimes even lashing out on my work colleagues because the physical pain of sitting at a desk was excruciating. I remember having a fog in my head, I had no clarity in my mind to make any decisions. All I wanted to do was stay in bed. ๐ฆ
Another event that highlighted my bad health was when I had a spa day with my mother and sister in India. I was getting a pedicure when the lady started giving me a foot massage. I had never realised this before but my legs were really swollen, inflamed and I felt so much pain during the massage. It’s then I realised that I had pockets of inflammation ALL over the body. I guess I had actually put up with this pain in my back, legs and arms for years then and it had almost become second nature to me.
BUT I WAS ONLY 26!
I should have had so much energy at that age. I should have been in a body that kept up with my adventures. Surely this wasn’t how I should have felt at that age? I knew things needed to change but had no idea HOW.
THE ANSWER TO MY QUESTION:
I believe you will find the answer when you actually have the courage to ask the question.
I started seriously looking out for people on social media who seemed to be going through similar issues and I found my answer in nutritional cleansing.
Actually, I had researched nutritional cleansing for a couple of years before that realisation but it was only in Jan 2015 after my trip to India that I decided it was time to give it a go. I thought well it’s got a money back guarantee, so I guess I had nothing to lose. ๐
The more I looked into it, the more I understood how this program was completely different from anything I had tried before. This wasn’t just a quick fix diet or a fad. It was a way of life.
Being of Indian descent, the idea of cleansing/detoxing/fasting was nothing new to me. In fact, growing up, I did regular ‘religious’ fasting anyway so the idea of periodically cleansing my body of toxins sounded just natural to me. It made sense to me that since I was constantly bloated, low on energy, that a detox would most probably reset my body back to it’s amazing glory i.e. factory settings. ๐
So here I was, looking forward to trying these products and my first ever pack was on it’s way.
My Health Issues:
So to re-iterate, a seemingly healthy person on the outside I had all these health issues:
- Inflammation ALL over my body (legs, shoulders, arms, back!)
- Digestion issues, feeling bloated all day long.
- Bad sleep
- Waking up tired and consequently no enthusiasm to go to work or the day ahead
- Sugar cravings all day long
- Feeling dizzy every now and then
- Periodic episodes of Acne
- Anxiety
- Feeling burnt out and tired all the time
- Muscular soreness and Lactic Acid build up
- Yellow eyes, dark circles
- Unhealthy hair
- Weight issues
Who else reading this know the feeling?
FIRST 30 DAYS:
I remember receiving my first ever pack of nutritional cleansing products and the excitement was through the roof. The first 4 days were probably the hardest days on the program. But on the fifth day, I woke up with so much clarity and energy, I actually jumped out of bed. It was that day, I knew I wouldn’t need to use the money back guarantee. ๐
Although I had no plans to use them for more than 30 days, the results kept me going. All of my above issues, especially energy and digestion related issues either reduced drastically or completely eliminated.
2 years later, I still use these products as I cannot imagine my life without them. ๐
I no longer have issues with my energy levels and I share these products freely with all my friends and family.
2017 GOALS:
In Dec 2016, while I was drafting up my goals for 2017, (have you read my post on goal creation yet? If not, go read it here ) I decided I want to take my health to it’s optimum level and new heights this year.
Since I already have a product (or system of products actually) that WORKS, I knew I wanted to put them to test and see what my body can achieve if I follow this system to a T.
So this year, 2/3 goals for 2017 are health related.
One, is to become the healthiest, happiest version of myself.
Second, is to help 10 other people become their healthiest, happiest version of themselves.
As we’re already through January now, I can tell you I’m going really well on my first goal. I hope to post more about my health journey over the coming months so stay tuned, and show me your support as I go through it!
This post has literally become an essay now, so I will end it here for now. ๐
I’m so thankful for having a tribe here who I know will support me through this, thanks for reading if you have made it this far. ๐
If you want info on this system, email me on upasana.pandya@hotmail.com I will be happy to share more with you!
Until my next health update,
In love and light ๐
Upasana x

I learnt fasting very early on and have used it all my life and use it regularly but sensibly! I love your blog – such wisdom and observation. I am nearly 70 years old and full of energy and enthusiasm for life but have had many periods of very low energy and illness too. You are building such a wonderful future for yourself. i congratulate you.
